This post literally came just in time! My baby shower is April 29th and I am literally lost. I didn’t have to plan my daughters so this is a learning experience for me. Do you have any suggestions that are easy on the budget but still stylish?
Congrats Dyana on adding a new family member! You don’t have to break the bank to have a pretty and stylish Baby shower. For starters, if you or the person hosting has a nice backyard or a good size kitchen/living room- have your shower there! No need to spend a lot at restaurants for their room rental fees. Secondly, a lot of the decor in this blog post are fairly simple and something you can reuse such as the citrus arrangements in baskets. Maybe you have a friend who has an orange tree? Or just buy a big bag from Costco/your local grocer and plan to eat up the oranges following the shower! On the table, you’ll see sprigs of shrub branches/leaves-those are free! If you have a garden or a friend does, pick some fresh flowers to add to the decor. Keeping it simply and fresh will help keep costs down but also be very chic. Two words: Dollar Tree. I have made a cake stand using their glass candlestick holder, a plate, and some E-6000 glue which you can get all three at the Dollar store. In fact, I think I will do a diy blog post on it soon. Hope some of these tips help. Good luck and Congrats again! Just enjoy the moment and don’t stress if everything is not perfect. The day is about celebrating you and the new baby!
